Applications open for SECGC’s 2015 campaign

After donating $492,000 to nonprofit organizations last year, the State Employee Charitable Giving Campaign (SECGC) is accepting applications from 501(c)3 nonprofits if they wish to join in the campaign. The campaign will run from Sept. 28 to Nov. 6.

“Most employees give via payroll deduction. The SECGC is convenient and impactful for both the employee and the nonprofit organization because employees can donate an amount that works for them every paycheck and the participating organizations can receive donations year-round,” said Alison Munson, campaign coordinator for SECGC.

On average in 2014’s campaign, individual state employees donated $273 and the largest donation was $36,420. SECGC hopes to reach $500,000 this year.
