MISSOULA -- Belt bounced back.
And the Huskies did it in a big way, 55-22, dispatching Park City from the State C girls' basketball tournament at Dahlberg Arena in Missoula Friday afternoon.
The Huskies, fresh off their first State C tournament loss since 2011, weren't about to go home empty-handed.
"We came in not very happy – with a chip on our shoulder. We came in to make a statement," said guard Kerstyn Pimperton, whose 18 points and five steals highlighted the Belt stat sheet.
Addy Martin and Kassie Hoyer each scored nine points for the Huskies.

Belt and Cascade – the two teams that faced off for a Northern C divisional title last weekend – seem on a collision course in the third-place game.
The Badgers knocked Eastern C champ Circle out of the tournament with a 46-30 win.
Cascade's frontcourt was dominant in the win, out-rebounding the Wildcats 44-26 and grabbing 24 offensive boards.
"We definitely worked for those offensive rebounds. We focused on rebounding because, obviously, we outsized them," Cascade senior Elsie Carpenter said.
The Badgers managed 19 steals in the halfcourt defense.
"We went into it not really knowing anything about (Circle), but we were just hoping they wouldn't be able to handle our pressure," Carpenter added.
Carpenter finished with 13 points and 15 boards while sophomore forward Ember Schwindt had 11 points, nine rebounds and a team-high five steals.
With a short bench, the Badgers were happy for some late-game rest with the large deficit. They'll have to win an 11 a.m. contest against the loser of Friday night's Twin Bridges and Saco-Whitewater-Hinsdale semifinal to reach the third-place game.
Carpenter said she isn't worried about running out of steam.
"At this level we have so much adrenaline," the senior said.
Belt plays the loser of the other Friday semifinal – Broadview-Lavina and Gardiner – at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for a consolation final bid.
