GFDA hires former head of YWCA

The former executive director of the Great Falls YWCA has accepted a position as development director for the Great Falls Development Authority.

According to a news release by GFDA Executive Director Brett Doney, Janet Duffy will lead the organization’s Forward Great Falls investment effort to help grow and diversify the Great Falls regional economy and support the creation of high-wage jobs.

Prior to her position with the YWCA, Duffy served as executive director of the Laughlin Nevada Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Development Center and vice president of the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.

She is a certified NxLevel entrepreneurship instructor, a graduate of the Western Association of Chamber Executives Academy, and holds a B.S. from the University of Montana.

“Janet brings a wealth of experience, energy, enthusiasm and proven success to our staff,” Doney wrote.
