Kids’ sealant day is Saturday at Great Falls College

Local dentists and students of the Great Falls College MSU dental assistant program will team up Saturday to hold its “No Smile Left Behind — Sealant Day” at the Great Falls College campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is free and offers dental sealant services to children between the ages of 5 and 17.

Local dentists and students will screen children for sealant eligibility, and if needed, the sealants will be placed on permanent molars by dental assistant and dental hygiene students.

Dental sealants are protective coatings placed on the biting surface of the back teeth to keep cavity-causing bacteria and food out of the grooves.

An education fun room will be available during the event for children of all ages.

Great Falls College MSU is located at 2100 16th Ave. S. in Great Falls.
