Body of 8-year-old Logan girl recovered

BOZEMAN (AP) – The body of an 8-year-old Logan girl who fell into the Missouri River last month was recovered Saturday.

Madison Veele was playing on the banks of the river in Headwaters State Park when she slipped into the water. Rescuers searched for two weeks for the girl.

According to the Billings Gazette, anglers near the Toston Dam in Broadwater County spotted the body.

The dam is about 20 miles downstream from the state park.
