A 44-year-old North Dakota man died Friday when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll several times and ejecting him from the car, officials said.

The rollover occurred at about 3 p.m. at mile marker 110 on U.S. Highway 87 near Grass Range, Montana Highway Patrol officials said.

The Bismarck man was westbound on the roadway when the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road, causing the driver to correct to the left and sending his Chevy Blazer into a spin, the MHP said.

The car then struck a culvert, and it went airborne and rolled several times. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.

A 15-year-old girl in the Blazer was injured and taken to Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown. An 8-year-old boy was not injured. Information on the girl’s condition was not immediately available.

The man was taken Central Montana Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
