Justice Brown has been named as the 17-year-old Havre man accused of breaking into an apartment complex and stabbing and injuring three people, the Havre Daily News reported Monday.

The Havre Daily News said Brown is from Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation and had a hearing in juvenile court Monday. He is charged with three counts of attempted homicide and one count of aggravated burglary.

Havre Police Lt. Aaron Wittmer said the three victims, two women and a man, lived in an upper floor apartment, and told police a young man broke into the apartment and started stabbing them. None of the three was from Havre originally, but were in their late teens or early 20s and might be attending Havre colleges, he said.

Havre police responded to an apartment neighbor's call at 4:36 a.m. Saturday, Wittmer said. They found a young man and a young woman who were stabbed and unconscious initially and a third young woman who had been stabbed and fled to another apartment unit.

The victims were each conscious and able to tell police what happened and describe the stabbing suspect before being transported to Northern Montana Hospital for treatment.

All three then were were airlifted via Mercy Flight helicopter to the Benefis hospital in Great Falls, and one young woman was later transported to a Billings hospital for further treatment.
