Bull Riding: Special two-day event at Four Seasons
Cascade Country workers last week turned Pacific Steel and Recycling Four Seasons Arena into a rodeo venue for a weekend college event.
And that's the way the arena will stay again this week as 221 Industries presents a special two-day bull riding at the arena.
"I'm so stoked for the event," said Cory Smith, the successful CEO of 221 Industries, which has become known for its highly popular MMA fighting shows.
This time the cowboys will be battling the bulls in an event sanctioned by Laurel-based Elite Professional Bull Riding Inc. The action is slated Friday and Saturday nights.
The action starts each night at 7:30 and calls for 30 rides per performance, with the top 10 returning late Saturday for the championship go-round.
Many Montana cowboys have registered for the event, including former National Finals Rodeo bull rider Parker Breding of Edgar. Also registered are Great Falls athletes Cody Kigges, Dillon McQuire, Allen Parsons, Ben Hilpert, Tyler Taillon, David Graham and Shane Rummel.
Stock will be provided by Red Eye Rodeo and Bird Bucking Bulls, and talented Jeff Marn of Belt will serve as the announcer.
"We got the best of the best from all over the nation and Canada, including some Top 5 guys from the NFR last year," Smith said.
Breding is currently ranked seventh in the 2015 PRCA bull riding standings.
Susan Shannon, Montana ExpoPark director, said Smith's UFC fights have been extremely well-received at Four Seasons.
"Cory is always organized and professional," Shannon said. "We're very happy to have events in May here at Four Seasons."
Tickets are $20 per day or $30 for both days prior to the show, and are available at the Four Seasons Arena box office or online at www.goexpopark.com. Tickets the day of the show are $25 for one night or $40 for both nights.
