Good News Roundup: Contests and competitions

Students place at MCTM math contest

The Montana Council of Teachers of Mathematics held a sponsored math contest March 7 at Great Falls High School. Several students earned superior markings or honorable mention. However, two students from C.M. Russell, Jacob Kerner and Danielle Potts, won scholarships from MCTM for $200.

C.M. Russell students who earned superior ratings: Ryan Verzuh, Katie Weidow, Jacob Kerner, Lillian Zimmerman, Dan Enseleit, Danielle Potts and Patrick Hodges.

East Middle students who earned superior ratings: Robert Van Spyk, Elijah Johnson, Meredith Shockley, Kelly Jones, Stephanie Kowal, Rhya Woods, Brayden Skolrud, Mya Curtis, Krystal Barber, Christine Margaris, Melena Bruskotter and Braydon Schott.

North Middle students who earned superior ratings: Holly Spragg, Ashlee Schoenhals and William Harr.

Lady of Lourdes students who received superior ratings: Alexander Tooley.
