Prep Basketball: Howard, Wyman, Vining share GFH honors

Brendan Howard, Matt Wyman and Lukas Vining all shared MVP honors as the Great Falls High boys’ basketball program announced its award-winners.

Howard and Vining were co-Offensive MVPs, while Wyman and Lester Johnson shared Defensive MVP honors.

Howard, Vining and Wyman were all named Class AA All-State. They were also named to the State AA Tournament Team. All three also were named to the Great Falls Tribune Super-State Team.

Wyman and Vining have been named to the Montana-Wyoming All-Star Game.

Special awards went to Riley Watt and Kody Torgerson (Dowson-Wigen Awards) and Milo Phattavong (Most Improved).

The Bison program also had 10 players named Academic All-State, including five who posted perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. They are Brad Goodell, Jordan Wilkins, Wyman, Riley Watt and Howard. Also named Academic All-State were Robert Bruskotter (3.83), Jake Wetzel (3.83), Kody Torgerson (3.80), Cody Babinecz (3.80) and Lester Johnson (3.50).
