Hill County authorities identified the man who died in a crash Sunday as 52-year-old Steven Formanack of Great Falls.

Formanack lost control of his pickup truck and rolled the vehicle, ejecting him from the cab, officials said.

The crash was reported at 7:09 a.m. Sunday at mile marker 5 on county Road 234, south of Havre near Herron, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash, officials said. Road conditions were clear and dry. The man was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Officials said he was not wearing a seat belt.

The vehicle was northbound on 234, and the driver failed to negotiate a curve, officials said. He overcorrected and forced the vehicle across the road, then overcorrected again, prompting the vehicle to roll.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
