Authorities have identified the woman who died from injuries suffered in a crash on Interstate 15 on Thursday evening.

The Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 37-year-old Stacy L. Carrier of Great Falls.

Carrier was one of two people ejected from a passenger vehicle that collided with a semi-truck when it was exiting north onto I-15 Thursday just before 6 p.m., according to the Montana Highway Patrol. The male in the car was sent to the hospital as well.

MHP reported that the driver of the passenger vehicle appeared to be making a sharp left turn in front of the oncoming semi-truck. MHP hasn’t yet determined who was driving the vehicle. Neither Carrier nor the male occupant was wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Carrier was transported via ambulance, and the male was transported via Mercy Flight to Benefis Health System. Carrier died Friday as a result of her injuries. MHP reported on Friday the male was seriously injured, but was in stable condition.
