The man who “liked” his own mug shot on the Cascade County Crime Stoppers Facebook page in April posted bail and made his first court appearance in person Monday.

Levi Charles Reardon, 23, was arrested on multiple warrants April 24 and made an initial court appearance several days later.

He had a bail hearing on District Judge Greg Pinski’s court calendar Monday, but the hearing was vacated as Reardon was able to post bail last Friday, according to his attorney, public defender Alex Spayd. Reardon was scheduled to be arraigned on a felony forgery (common scheme) last Thursday.

Reardon agreed to make a statement about the worldwide attention the news of his arrest received after the Tribune’s initial coverage. He said he was surprised that the news of him liking the “most wanted” Facebook post went viral, adding that national news outlets have contacted him for interviews.

Otherwise, Reardon indicated he wanted his actions regarding his case to speak for him.

“I’m here for my court date,” he said, “and that’s what counts.”
