MISSOULA (AP) – Ravalli County officials have released the name of a 74-year-old Conner man who died after falling into the Bitterroot River while fishing.

Deputy Coroner Travis McElderry told the Missoulian on Sunday that Jeffrey Benjamin died in a boating accident on March 25.

Benjamin had been fishing with two other men when their boat hit a submerged log. All three men were thrown into the water. The other two were able to get back into the boat, but Benjamin was washed downstream.
