Update: Victim in Havre motorcycle crash identified

Officials have released the name of a 28-year-old man who died when the motorcycle he was on slid out from under him and collided with a concrete barrier in Havre last week.

According to Hill County Sheriff/Coroner Don Brostrom, the man was identified as Shane Paul Boucher of Havre.

The crash occurred about 11:10 p.m. Friday, at 6th Street North and 7th Avenue North in Havre, the Montana Highway Patrol said.

The man was traveling on 6th Street North and failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. He exited the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle laid on its side and collided with a concrete barrier, officials said.

There was one fatality and one injury, but MHP officials said it was not immediately known how the injury was related to the crash.
