City election candidate forum Oct. 8

Great Falls residents have a chance to choose a new City Commission on Nov. 3.

But in the meantime, residents have a chance to better get to know the candidates who made it through the primary election.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Oct. 8 in Heritage Hall at the Great Falls College-Montana State University, candidates will answer questions on their views of the major issues facing the city and the future of Great Falls.

Those candidates include Michael Winters and Bob Kelly for mayor; and Bill Bronson, Tracy Houck, Don Petrini and Rick Tryon for two available commission seats.

Winters is currently the mayor. Kelly and Bronson are currently commissioners.

The forum will be moderated by Tribune opinion editor Rich Ecke. There will be opportunity for audience members to submit questions.

Ballots will be mailed Oct. 19 for the general election.

The forum is hosted by the Great Falls Tribune, Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Great Falls Realtors Association, Home Builders Association of Great Falls and StarRadio.
