HELENA (AP) — A search is underway in western Montana for a 51-year-old missing hunter.

The Independent Record reports that the search is being done in the area where Lewis and Clark, Broadwater and Meagher counties meet.

Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says the man was supposed to meet his hunting party at noon Saturday at their camp at the top of Magpie Gulch.

When the hunter had not arrived by 2 p.m. members of the hunting party called the Broadwater County Sheriff's Office to report him missing.

Officials from all three counties joined the search. The hunter was last seen Saturday morning wearing light camouflage.
