This week's nominees for girls feature a member of a state championship team, a soccer star who accounted for four goals on the snowy pitch and a hard-hitting senior spiker.

For the girls:

Catrina Babinecz of the state champion Great Falls High girls' golfers. The senior led the Bison girls to their first state title since 2000, taking third individually with a two-day total of 157.

Eme McLaughlin, the standout forward for the C.M. Russell High girls' soccer team. McLaughlin accounted for four goals, scoring two and chipping in two assists in a 5-0 rout of Butte on a snow-covered field at Siebel Soccer Park.

Katia Michelotti, the senior volleyballer from CMR who notched 11 kills and two blocks to lead the Rustlers over Fergus High in Lewistown.
