MSU rises, UM falls in FCS polls

The Montana State football team moved up to 16th in both the FCS STATS poll and FCS Coaches' poll after a decisive 35-13 victory over Sacramento State.

The University of Montana fell in both polls after losing to Weber State 24-21 at home. The Griz dropped eight spots in each poll and currently are 19th in the Coaches' and 20th in the STATS.

Portland State climbed to 17th in both after a 66-7 victory over North Texas. Eastern Washington dropped one spot in the STATS poll from seventh to eighth but remained the same in the Coaches' poll.

Tech rises, Carroll and Western drop in NAIA football poll

Montana Tech rose four spots in the NAIA coaches' poll to No. 13 after a road victory over Rocky Mountain College.

Carroll College lost at home to Eastern Oregon, dropping the Saints from fourth to 11th.

The University of Montana-Western fell from 16th to 22nd after losing to No. 2 Southern Oregon in overtime at home.

Southern Oregon retained the same ranking.
