Susan Wolff has a doctorate of education and is the CEO/Dean of Great Falls College-MSU.

Susan Wolff, the chief executive officer and dean of Great Falls College MSU, is representing post-secondary education across the country in a panel discussion at the Close IT Summit in Washington, D.C., that started Tuesday.

The invitation was issued from ACT, a company founded in 1959 to provide assessment for college readiness. In March 2014, Great Falls College MSU received the ACT College and Career Readiness Award for Montana.

The panel presentation, “Leaders and Linkages: Supporting K-12, Postsecondary, and Workforce Success,” will examine each of those three institutional roles in helping prepare individuals for post-secondary and career success.

When ACT officials visited Great Falls College MSU in 2014 to present the award, they were fascinated by the partnerships between the college, local school districts, and the local business community and the college's ability to ensure the needs of both students and the community were being addressed, Wolff said in a press release. The team was also impressed with the college’s ability to provide real life training through facilities such as the simulated hospital and state-of-the art welding and fabrication shop.

“It is an honor to be asked to represent two-year education across the country," Wolff said. "The two-year and community colleges are critical for workforce, economic, and community development. This work is done through creating collaborative relationships with education, business, industry and community partners."

"Great Falls College MSU is proud to be recognized nationally for these efforts. I extend a heartfelt thank you to our community and am so proud to walk with you in this work,” she added.
