Authorities ID Helena man in Sunday’s fatal I-15 crash

Authorities have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Cascade on Sunday.

Fritz Roos, 66, of Helena, died after being ejected from his vehicle.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, Roos was driving his vehicle northbound on Interstate 15 on Sunday when he drifted off the left side of the road. He then overcorrected and overcorrected again, causing him to move into the southbound lanes and roll his vehicle.

MHP reports Roos was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the Dodge Dakota pickup truck he was driving.
