We’re throwing a party to honor region’s prep stars

The high school sports season is over, and we’re throwing a party.

The first annual Great Falls Tribune Northcentral Montana Sports Awards Banquet is scheduled Saturday, June 11, and we’re planning to honor many deserving members of our high school communities.

All those who were nominated for our weekly Athlete of the Week contests, which began back in August and ended last week, will be honored at the banquet. Many other special awards will also be given and guest speaker Jaymee Sire, a Great Falls native who works as an ESPN SportsCenter anchor, will be here to meet and greet athletes and fans.

The banquet, thanks to signature sponsor Benefis Health System and with major contributions from Pepsi and Tintina, promises to be a memorable event. It will include a brunch and is slated from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Heritage Inn in Great Falls.

Today we’re reminding high school athletes who have not yet registered for their tickets online and filled out the RSVP information to please do so. All athletes nominated for Tribune Athlete of the Week are asked to please register by accessing the following link:
