More than a dozen volunteers from the Dearborn, Cascade and Wolf Creek/Craig volunteer fire departments spent three hours Sunday afternoon at a blaze that destroyed a detached garage at a home just off Interstate 15 at Dearborn.

The call came in at 2:56 p.m. Sunday and firefighters were at the scene within 10 minutes, said Dearborn Fire Chief Jerry Dobbins.

"The garage was already engulfed and the structure and its contents are a total loss," he said. "The blaze was fully visible from the interstate and it was putting up some pretty good black smoke."

No one was injured and no other structures were damaged. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
