Still time to sign up for What Women Want Fun Run
Beautiful weather beckons for Saturday morning’s What Women Want Fun Run.
And there’s still time to sign up.
The 3.5-mile event starts Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at West Bank Park and, said race director Tina Hart, offers a laid-back atmosphere for people of all ages and running abilities.
“We have a lot of walkers and moms pushing strollers,” Hart said.
Fast or slow, runner or walker, female or male, everyone is welcome at the event. A portion of the proceeds from the race is donated to Women Against Breast Cancer, a local group.
“Everything that we donate stays in Great Falls,” Hart said.
Fun Run participants receive T-shirts. The event also features professional chip timing for the first time.
Registration is available online at whatwomenwantfunrun.com or in person at the Great Falls Tribune, 205 River Drive S. Packet pickup is available Friday at the Tribune from 3-5 p.m. or on race day between 7-8:30 a.m.
