Michael Cooper at Rocky Boy Friday

ROCKY BOY -- Former Los Angeles Lakers' star Michael Cooper plans to put on a six-hour basketball clinic at Rocky Boy High for high school players Rocky Boy and Box Elder Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., said Polson promoter Monty Marengo.

Marengo, who has brought NBA stars to many camps and clinics over the years in Polson, said Cooper will be at a "meet and greet" Thursday night at the Duck Inn in Havre from 6-8 p.m. After Friday's clinic, Cooper is slated to speak with several groups at Rocky Boy. Marengo said Cooper, now a coach in the WNBA, is writing a book and plans to lecture on the following building blocks of Lakers success: discipline, determination, desire, dedication and decision-making.
