The Buzz: Wild Out West moving to new westside location
At 6 years old, Wild Out West is transitioning to an updated business model in a new location.
Lorell Heckman is closing her store in the Holiday Village Mall, which carries women’s clothing for all ages and sizes, accessories, footwear and home decor, on May 29.
Wild Out West Unleashed will reopen in mid-June at 805 3rd St. N.W.
The online store, www.wildoutweststore.com, remains open during the move.
Wild Out West Unleashed will continue to carry the trendy inventory the store is known for, Heckman said, but will also add lines.
“We carry trendy items, boho, vintage, country, lace, jeans and footwear,” she said. “At the new store, we will not carry as much western home decor, except seasonally, but we expand our selection of vintage, country and cottage home decor.”
The new location also gives Heckman flexibility to set her own hours and host special events, such as wine tastings and trunk shows.
“We are also becoming certified as event planners,” said Heckman. “We’ll be able to do everything from wedding and special events to corporate events. We can help clients with custom dresses, decorations and venue sites.”
The new store’s remodeling is being done by Wild West Home Improvement, a newer construction company owned by Lorell Heckman’s son, Colter Heckman.
“He’s done a great job and it’s been a lot of fun,” she said.
Wild Out West Unleashed’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Call 406-452-5192.
