Bozeman woman charged with pepper spraying three officers

BOZEMAN — Three police officers were pepper sprayed while serving an arrest warrant on a woman for allegedly violating the terms of her release on an earlier charge for assaulting an officer.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports 36-year-old Georgia Hunt Taylor was arrested early Monday and charged with three counts of felony assault on a peace officer. Gallatin County Justice of the Peace Bryan Adams set her bail at $75,000.

Taylor was charged with kicking an officer during a December traffic stop. She had posted bond, but prosecutors sought the warrant after she missed an appointment with pre-trial services.

Defense attorney Matt Enrooth says Taylor suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and was scared for her life when officers kicked in the door to her bedroom to arrest her early Monday.
