Great Falls attorney honored for Law Day

A longtime Great Falls defense attorney was given an award in honor of Law Day.

Daniel Donovan received his award from Great Falls Pre-Release Services at a Thursday afternoon ceremony.

Donovan practiced in Great Falls for 40 years with a focus on criminal defense in state and federal court. He successfully argued a case before the United States Supreme Court in 1996-97.

Donovan is a Life Member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He served on the Great Falls Pre-Release Center’s Board of Directors for more than 20 years. He currently serves on the board of the Montana Innocence Project.

Donovan is 12th recipient of the Pre-Release’s Law Day Award.
