Due to the unseasonably cool temperatures the Electric City Water Park will not open on Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday.

The park will reopen in the spring.

Drool in the Pool is still scheduled for Sept. 9 from 4-7 p.m.

Community dog owners are invited to bring their dog to the Electric City Water Park for a dip in the pool for $5 per dog.

All dogs are required to have proof of current vaccinations and people are not allowed in the pool — pets only.

The Natatorium opens Sept. 8 and operating hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Open swim is Mondays 1-3 p.m. and Saturdays 1-5 p.m.

The facility is available for exclusive rental Fridays through Sundays.

The Natatorium offers lap swim, water aerobics, swim lessons, kayaking, arthritis, M.S., and orthopedic classes and now accepts New West and Blue Cross insurance.

Registration for swimming lessons is also open now.

Classes are available for ages 6 months and older, from beginners to advanced, and are taught by YMCA/American Red Cross certified lifeguards. Adult lessons are available upon request.
