Benefis Health System issues donation

Meals on Wheels, the program that provides meals to homebound seniors, received a contribution of $2,580 from Benefis Health System.

The donation comes through Benefis’ Blue Jean Fridays program. The Blue Jean Fridays program, which happens each quarter of the year, allows Benefis employees not required to wear uniforms to pay $20 to wear blue jeans on Fridays. The proceeds are then donated to a chosen program by the Benefis Great Place to Work Advisory Council.

Through the Blue Jean Fridays program, Benefis donated $2,880 to the Benefis Foundation’s Angel Fund program in the first quarter of 2015 and $3,840 to the Caring for Our Own program in the last quarter of 2014.
