BILLINGS — A 60-year-old Bridger man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 312 near Bridger that began when another pickup struck a deer.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 53-year-old Bridger man was traveling northbound when his pickup struck a deer just after 6:30 a.m. Monday. Trooper Joe Hensley tells The Billings Gazette that the deer smashed the man’s windshield and caused the pickup’s airbag to deploy, disorienting the driver.
