HELENA (AP) — A single-vehicle crash on a rural road north of Helena has killed a 23-year-old man and seriously injured a woman.

Lewis and Clark County coroner M. E. ‘Mickey’ Nelson tells the Independent Record that the crash happened at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Nelson says neither occupant was wearing a seat belt and both were ejected.

No names were immediately released.

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 2004 Chevy truck was traveling eastbound when it failed to make a right-hand turn and rolled multiple times.

It says a 23-year-old female was transported to St. Peter’s Hospital.

The patrol says the crash is still under investigation.
