Chinook man dies in two-vehicle Hi-Line crash

GREAT FALLS — An 18-year-old Chinook man was killed when his car collided with a semitrailer on U.S. Highway 2 east of Chinook near Zurich.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the teen’s westbound car crossed the center line and struck the semi head-on at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

UPDATE: Woman killed in crash swerved to miss dog

The patrol says the semi caught fire, but the driver escaped without serious injury. The crash blocked the highway for about six hours.

The crash is still under investigation. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
