Bicyclist struck by vehicle in Billings dies of injuries

BILLINGS — Police in Billings say a 39-year-old man died of injuries suffered when he was struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle.

Officers were called to a pedestrian cross way north of MetraPark shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.

Lt. Casey Hafner says the victim was struck by a Ford pickup driven by a 39-year-old man. Police are investigating whether the bicyclist was following a pedestrian path. He was not wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The collision is still under investigation. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
