DUI charges brought against man in fatal crash near Troy

MISSOULA — A Lincoln County man is facing charges in a high-speed crash that killed his passenger near Troy in August.

The Missoulian reports that Johnny Glen Anthony Jr., of Libby, was arrested Friday and released after posting $25,000 bond. He has been charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence and negligent homicide.

Authorities had responded to the crash after a pickup truck driven by Anthony went off the road and rolled over. Anthony’s passenger, 67-year-old Jon Douglas Reynolds, was ejected from the car and died.

An affidavit states that Anthony told a deputy he had one or two drinks before the crash and that his car had been making a strange noise.

Anthony’s truck was found to have been traveling over 100 mph before it crashed.
