Rescue workers respond to truck in Missouri River

By Tribune Staff

Emergency workers responded to a pickup truck in the Missouri River near Dearborn on Sunday morning.

Reports say numerous response vehicles, including Cascade County Sheriff’s vehicles, were at the scene of the incident in which a vehicle looked as if it went off a steep embankment. The incident occurred about 6:30 a.m.

Dearborn Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jerry Dobbins said that one person was transported to Benefis by Mercy Flight as a result of the crash, and that crews immediately removed the pickup truck from the river.

Montana Highway Patrol also responded to the incident, and is investigating the crash.
