Great Falls school board ballots due Tuesday

Polls close Tuesday at 8 p.m. for the Great Falls Public Schools trustee election.

Those vying for the three open seats are challengers Beth Cooper, Barbara Going, Patrick Flaherty and Rudolf Tankink, and incumbents Jeff Gray, Ann Janikula and Laura Vukasin.

Voters can vote for three candidates.

Voters can vote at Exhibition Hall from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and can return ballots by mail or in person at the election office on 2nd Avenue North until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Lynn DeRoche, Cascade County elections supervisor, said that 9,711 ballots had been returned as of Friday afternoon.

She said 27,000 total ballots went out for the trustee election and that they were hoping for a return of 12,000 or 13,000.
