Milk rule panel moves meeting

TRIBUNE CAPITOL BUREAU

HELENA — The Milk Assessment Rule Committee of the Board of Livestock meeting for 10 a.m. Wednesday has been moved to the Scott Hart Building Auditorium, 302 N Roberts St., officials said.

The meeting will be to analyze data on the costs of the program of Food and Drug Administration compliance.

The public may attend and comment.

The board hopes to determine one or more options for adjustments for the current administrative rule that will allow the department’s revenues to meet expenses for fiscal year 2017.

The committee’s recommendations will be presented to the Board of Livestock at its May 11 meeting. If a solution is approved by the board, it will have to go out for a period of public comment before official adoption.
