A man accused of breaking into several vehicles in the Great Falls area was scheduled to make his initial court appearance Tuesday.

Casey James Jarvis, 34, is charged with one count of felony criminal mischief for his alleged role in three vandalism incidents that occurred within 12 minutes of each other April 22. The police report says two of the incidents occurred within city limits and the third was reported in Cascade County.

According to court documents, multiple witnesses identified the suspect as a male who fled the scene in a white Ford Bronco. One of the witnesses identified Jarvis by name. Another witness provided a license plate number registered to an inactive plate assigned to a white Ford Bronco.

Court documents also say Jarvis participated in a voluntary police interview and admitted he vandalized one of the vehicles.

Charging documents say Jarvis’ criminal history includes drug possession with intent to distribute in 1999 and a revocation of his probation in that case in 2011. Other convictions listed include deceptive practices in 2005 and a felony theft in Florida in 2009.

The state requested bail be set at $5,000.
