Billings woman sentenced for taking cash

BILLINGS (AP) – A woman who took $4,400 from a man's bedroom has been given a three-year deferred sentence for theft.

The Billings Gazette reports 25-year-old Robin Leigh Kinn was sentenced Monday by District Judge Gregory R. Todd. He also fined her $1,500.

Kinn was arrested in January after a man reported the money was missing after Kinn had been at his residence.

Kinn told officers the man had given her the money for sex and then she refused the sex but kept the money because she needed it.

Yellowstone County deputies recovered the cash in a search of Kinn's apartment.
