Three teenagers linked to multiple vehicle thefts and a home invasion that left the home owner with a head wound made initial court appearances in Cascade County juvenile court Monday morning.

Brandon Bacon, 16; Gordon Bacon, 15; and Troy Gobert, 14; each face charges of aggravated burglary, theft and criminal mischief, all felonies. Gobert also faces two additional charges of obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.

According to Great Falls Police Sgt. Jim Wells, the juveniles are accused of stealing a gray 1966 Chevy pickup truck around 6:30 Sunday morning while its owner, a man in his early 80s, was having coffee with friends.

Wells said the suspects allegedly broke into the man’s home around 9 p.m. Sunday, assaulted the homeowner, stole several items and took the man’s second vehicle parked in the garage. That vehicle was recovered, Wells said. It was found parked at one of the suspects’ homes.

The truck had not been recovered as of Monday afternoon.

Wells said the homeowner was hospitalized due to his head injury and received stitches. Wells said he believes the man has been released from the hospital.
