POLAND – Former Billings Senior superstar distance runner Christina Aragon notched another big accomplishment in her young post-high school career, earning bronze in the 1,500 meters at the IAAF World Junior Championships on Sunday, according to published reports.

Aragon ran a personal-best time of 4:08.71, earning the U.S.’s first U20 medal winner at the IAAF Worlds in the 1,500 according to milesplit.com. The website also added the PR time elevated Aragon to No. 4 from No. 5 on the U.S. under-20 all-time list.

Aragon is an 11-time state champion runner in Montana and holds all-class records in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 and made it to the semifinals of this year’s Olympic Trials in the 1,500.
