Monte Giese named president of D.A. Davidson Equity Capital Markets Group

D.A. Davidson & Co., a full-service investment firm with operations nationwide, announced that Monte Giese was named president of its Equity Capital Markets Group. Giese will oversee a growing business unit that offers investment banking, institutional research, equity sales and trading, brokered CD underwriting and corporate services.

Davidson. “He has proven to be an integral part of the growth of our Equity Capital Markets Group, and his leadership will be pivotal for continued strides.”

Giese has served as co-head of investment banking for D.A. Davidson since 2014, and that business has nearly doubled in size since then. He joined D.A. Davidson in 1995 and was one of the firm’s most productive investment bankers before joining its banking leadership team. A graduate of Harvard University, he also has prior experience working with investment bank Alex, Brown & Sons.

Giese will continue working from the company’s headquarters offices in Great Falls. He fills the position previously held by Doug Woodcock, who is retiring after leading the firm’s Equity Capital Markets Group since 2000.
