Heads cut off of deer shot at night near Dupuyer

Two deer were shot at night with their heads cut off west of Dupuyer, according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

FWP game wardens are looking for anyone with information about the pair of deer that were poached recently near Dupuyer along the Rocky Mountain Front.

A mule deer buck was shot and left Nov. 30.

A whitetail buck was shot and left Nov. 26-27, the last weekend of the general big game season.

In both cases, the animals were shot at night on private land from a public road.

Both deer had their heads cut off; the rest of the carcass was left to waste.

Anyone with information is urged to call 1-800-TIPMONT. Informants are kept confidential and rewards up to $1,000 are possible.
