Bravettes use last-second shot to beat Bison girls

KALISPELL – Hannah Collins drained a late 3-pointer, only to watch as a late bucket at the buzzer give Kalispell Flathead a 47-45 heartbreaking win over Great Falls High Saturday night.

Collins, led the Bison with 25 points, hit the late trifecta that gave tied the game at 45-all.

Kylee Meredith hit the game-winning shot for the Bravettes.

“We had our chance,” Great Falls High coach Jerry Schmitz said. “We were 10-for-19 from the free-throw line; barely over 50 percent tonight.

“We really need to get better on offense. We’ll get there, but it’s still early.”

Tiana Johnson also scored 25 points for Flathead.

The Bison girls host Kalispell Glacier Friday night at Swarthout Fieldhouse.
